But instead of wife, you as an employee

You remember hearing this, right? As much as it is the truth, this phrase can be directed toward employees in the workforce as well. When you're working with empowerment, you become empowered. Maybe that should've been my title, but understand that you are the "wife" that should be happy in your workforce.
According to the Ted Talk, “Why we need to treat our employees as thoughtfully as our customers” by Diana Dosik, she states that employee engagement is huge. However, the issue is that many of these efforts miss the mark because they don't get to the heart of what drives our behavior, and they don't get there because companies don't use the same sophisticated tools, techniques, and theories in their employees that they are already using on their customers.
Let's look for our tools!

She then goes on to elaborate on marketers, providing two fundamental disciplines for how they strategically apply their engagement efforts. These two fundamental disciplines are game theory, which is the idea that people act or perceive in their best interests, and sociology, which helps them predict what those best interests might be. When I came across this Ted Talk, it immediately made me fantasize about the times I wish human resources in workplaces were more resourceful. Although your employers should respect you, it is frequently overlooked what role Human Resources plays in recognizing the worth of every hardworking employee.
Let's find the middle point

I truly believe employers will become most beneficial by modeling examples of providing quality service to their employees. Recognizing and trusting in your employees that they are willing to do the work you have planned for them is the most effective way of receiving the rewarding intentions that you have sought for your business. The best way I, as an employee, learned to be more impactful towards my workforce was by suggesting more team-building activities. This provided a better structure for our employers to better understand their employees through personal engagements that could be applied to real-life work situations. This enhanced many qualities and talents in our office, and it is now implemented every two months to create that fun balance of feeling like a happy wife!
